Title Tawra Kathak clan. Origin of the Kathak clan
Description Sri Batem Kathak, 74 years old, resident of Khoraliang village, narrates the story of his clan. Kathak & Takaliang (kaliang) have their origin in Kaliang, now in Anjaw District. According to the story their clan did not migrate from anywhere but are native of the Tawra area. They were two brothers, the one who lived in the upper part (and drank from the Taka stream) became Kathak clan. The other brother who lived in the lower part became Kaliang(Takaliang). Along with them lived the Brapa clan, which became extinct. Batem's grand father, moved to Bu-mla and later to Khoraliang, Tezu.
